“Mate and Matt’s officially opened in 2001, following on from 3 generations of vegetable farming in the Cudgen area. The store’s humble beginning started as a retirement project of a well-known local man, affectionately known as ‘Matey’. He created Mate and Matts, nurtured it, watched it thrive and go on to become an iconic hub of paddock-to-plate Cudgen produce. There’s a lot of produce here that can’t possibly come from Cudgen.
